After a magnificent season in Huelva, Carmona caught the attention of the Blaugrana technical staff who advised coach Luis Enrique to recruit the player, and pending a successful medical, he will be a Barca player as of next season. The Andalucian club revealed that all the details of the transaction will be provided after the medical examination has been completed and once all the documents are signed.
Carmona began his career with RCD Mallorca, making his first team debut on November 28, 2004, at just 17, playing ten minutes in a 0–2 loss at Valencia CF. In 2005–06, he was loaned to Real Valladolid in the second division.
From 2007–09, Carmona was also loaned, to FC Cartagena, being instrumental in the club’s promotion to the second level in his second year.
